Hickson 44 galaxy cluster 20240407
This wacky collection of deep sky objects is a compact galaxy cluster known as Hickson 44 (NGC 3190), in the constellation Leo. There are three spiral galaxies of different sorts, and one fuzzy elliptical. Best 70% of about three hours’ worth of images taken from Colchester UK on a ZWO ASI585MC camera with Baader Mk III MPCC coma corrector and ZWO UV/IR cut filter, on a Sky-Watcher Explorer 150p and EQ5 Pro mount, via Stellarmate Plus in Kstars/Ekos. Stacked in AstroPixelProcessor, cropped and adjusted in Photoshop and Lightroom, with Topaz DeNoise AI.
