Halifax heading home
A solitary RAF Handley Page Halifax Mk III makes its way back to its base in the south of England in 1944. The aircraft depicted here is ME967, 9U-K in 644 Squadron, which specialised in glider towing and secret supply drops behind enemy lines as well as more conventional bombing missions.
