Lancaster dropping Upkeep

617 Squadron Lancaster B III Special dropping a Barnes Wallis-designed "bouncing bomb", codenamed Upkeep, before the mission against the Ruhr dams in 1943. The store is painted a red oxide colour, which is how most of them were delivered to the squadron.
