Eight RAF Douglas Boston light bombers from No 342 Squadron - Free French Groupe de Bombardement 1/20 "Lorraine" - streak across northern France in loose formation at low level in one of the many attacks on communications and transport targets in the build-up to the Allied invasion on D-Day in 1944.
This was one of four of my pictures that appeared - as a double-page spread in this case - in a Classic Magazines special 'bookazine' about the RAF involvement in the Allied invasion of Europe, published by Mortons to mark the 70th anniversary.
