Dambusters training over the Wash
Three Lancasters from the RAF's 617 Squadron training for Operation Chastise against German dams in May 1943. Wing Commander Guy Gibson leads in Lancaster ED932/G AJ-G. The attack with "bouncing bombs" - not carried on the practice - had to be made at very low level.
