Reds' smoke

Five of the Red Arrows RAF display team passing through huge billowing clouds of their own smoke trails at Clacton Airshow. The smoke is created by spraying dyed diesel fuel into the jets' hot exhaust stream. The dye and diesel is stored in a specially-modified pod fitted to each of the aircraft. The pilot releases it using three buttons on the aircraft control stick.
